Default Huntington Honda (New York)

anyone have TSB 54 or 55 done at huntington honda? i've heard the clutch rattle between 4000 and 3000 like the TSB says but its not every time. I heard it many times including yesterday but not on other days and not today...should i go in and get this done? I want to know the past experiences with the guys at my dealership...hopefully they know what they are doing... I'm not sure I want some rookie mechanic taking apart my tranny...what about TSB 55...should i get this done with 54...if they will do it? I have an occasional grind like maybe 4 times in the life of the car....with 6500 miles...help

I've always had my car done at Huntington Honda (albeit a Civic Si) but they seem to know what they are doing. I have 82k miles on my Si and I'm still very satisfied with all of their service work on my car thus far. I always requested Robbie (tech), he was very knowledgeable and used to do free stuff during my services and hooked me up with 10 oil filters every visit lol. Unfortunately, he just moved to FL and is working in some dealership down there. You should ask for Chris or Craig Gleichman, Jr - they're cool guys. The service advisors (Craig, Sr and Alex) are actually personable and courteous as well.

Well, you can pay them a visit and talk to the aforementioned service advisors regarding those TSBs. If they aren't that confident about doing them, I'm sure they'll let you know.

Their service is excellent. Their sales department is horrible though. 2 Hondas in a row for me and both i purchased else where when Huntington Honda is 5 minutes from me.

NO NO NO NO NO

DO NOT GET IT DONE THERE

I had a terrible experience, especially with this guy named Craig. Especially don't get it done if you're out of warrenty like I was. There's a long post somewhere I wrote about this whole situation but basically they are unwilling to listen and they took my money without doing a damn thing to the car.

So... Don't get it done, go somewhere else (like Honda City in Hicksville, they're much better although I didn't try to get the TSB done there, I feel burned from Huntington Honda).

But if you do decide to go to Huntington, do me a favor (after you get it serviced) and spit in craig's face for me. Thanks.

And just to add, they took my car for a joyride, adding 90 miles to the odometer, and left the window open when it rained so water was all in my speaker grill. Great service.

ahhh...too late...although they fixed the buzz...it wasn't from my clutch...it was from my doorsill. They said 2001 is not part of the grind TSB, nor do I have the grind problem. They put 7 miles on my car...and it didnt rain (thank God)

I just put in Redline MTL and MT-90 mix and my tranny feels great.
