yes, those are the side impact bars on the door. It does look like a tractor trailer wreck

 

I've been a fireman for 15 years and get to play this game every day. This car looks similar to one I've seen recently that went under the rear wheels of a semi. It looks like it rubbed against the tire and then turned under the semi. The wheels probably went over the A pillar and across the hood. You would think there would be more damage to the hood if the semi went over the car but it didn't in wreck I went to. In fact that car had less damage than this one. Here's a couple of pics. You can see that the A pillar has been pushed down even with the steering wheel. The rear tires of the semi went directly over the driver's head, dash, and hood.

Its obvious, the guy (or girl) went to a monster truck show and ended up parking in the stadium instead of outside.

I'm sure the bottom of the seats are pretty dirty.
