i was hoping to avoid a real debate on this issue.

Actually you can buy LS-1 engine, trans and computer for about $2500-$3500 and then figure out how to squeeze it in.

375 HP torque ridden V-8. Works for me.

Actually, --true story-- someone squeezed (had to lengthen about 22 inches) a Merlin 2000HP Spitfire engine in a Rolls-Royce Corniche. Weighed quite a bit but blew the doors off Porsches on the Autobaun.

hOW TO MAKE IT FASTEST?

Well supercharge it but get the boost even higher probably by double. Add a huge wet shot of NO2. Get a cold air intake ducted. Port and polish the engine, hone/extrude the intake manifold/TB. Nice set of headers and a straight through exhaust.(no cat)

Then lighten the car majorly! Any way possible. Drop like 4-500 pounds.
