Don't drive BEHIND the minivan to avoid the rock chips. Take the lead! Let 'em know who's boss.

I am moving from Ohio down to San Antonio, TX. I'm driving the S with the passenger and trunk filled along with a follow behind minivan with everything else. What is the best way to protect the front end of my car during this trek?
I don't want to buy a bra for the car so I guess tape may be the best bet. Any brand that will remove easily with minimal residue but thick enough to protect?

Thanks,
Doug
Drive backwards? No front damage.

I'd use masking tape and put newspaper over the front of the car.

I actually drive like this most of the time.

Maybe you should get a clear bra. It may cost 600 or so bucks, but it will protect your front end long after your trip. Ask anyone here is SA, with all the construction and gravel trucks you will need it. My car has the entire kit installed - hood, fenders, mirrors, bumper and lights.

I just got the yellow headlight covers, but have not installed them yet.

Regarding the blue tape....

What about being in a high heat area for an extended period of time? Wouldn't that cause some problems w/ the glue?
