How to shift S2000
#31
Taking off in a different car that is manual is the hardest part. The rest is easy. So its alright letting the clutch off slow to take off (others consider burning clutch) but I don't know anyone who gets in a different manual car and takes off fine.

I've always wondered the same thing? How do you guys normally take off in the S2000?
I've driven manual before, but the cars I drove have more low end torque. If I drive the s2k the same way, the engine bogs down. In fact in the other cars, I can let go of the clutch at a decent rate without giving gas and the car will drive fine. Can't do that with the Honda.

In general since the gates are so close, picture the gears at the corners of teh car. 1 is pulled to the left front, 2 is pulled to the left rear, 3 is dead front of the car, 4 is straight back, 5th you push out to the front right, sixth you push out to the back right.
