Default How to sell my car for the best price

Hey all , please be patient to my english abilitys .
I bought my second hand 2006 EDM before 15 months for 73,400$ , when its listed value was about 59,200$ (new car price tag over here is 100,800$) .
I paid about 14,200$ more then what its listed in our price list (like blue book) .
The car was worth it , as we have only about 30 S2K's here , and most of them are in bad condition (accident or neglect cars) .
My car was stored in close place (never previously to sun) , never driven hard , the previous owner was a pilot in the army all is life and knew how to take care for the car .
just for criterion , 3 years ago i had 2007 EDM and paid 10,000$ less then the valued price , so there is a good reason why i paid more for my current car .
I want to sell it now , time to move on..
It's 2nd hand , 13,000 mile , perfectly cared and maintained , stored during day light and driven only in nights .
I'm asking for 59,300$ , and the list price is 47,500$ (or 52,000$ when considered the mileage) , it's 25% more exactly as i paid for it .
The only thing is , i'm just not so sure how to speak with potential buyers and ask them more then the valued price .
I do believe my car worth it , and got great offers in the past , just not so good in negotiation (at least not as a seller) .

Thanks for your help .

If it was meticulously maintained like you said it is, someone will eventually buy it
Mint stock s2000s are hard to find, especially one with low mileage

Best of luck. What do you plan on getting after?

As far as trying to sell your car. You have to be patient if you want to get more out of it. Don't expect a quick sale...and on the flip side, I wouldn't turn away a quick sale if they get close to your asking price. $2000-3000 might sound like a lot now, but it won't sound like a lot when you are still sitting on the car a year later and have reduced your price to that or more to encourage a buyer.

Have a figure in mind that will be your absolute bottom dollar and don't go lower. If you are in a negotiation situation, don't let the buyer control the conversation. Know that you will probably have to give up a little, but on the other end so will he if it is a proper negotiation.

Just be firm on your price. If you through out a number like "oh, I'm looking to get $45K-50K", take a guess as to where the price is going to START.
