Default How to REALLY look stupid while Driving an S2000.

I was keeping this story to myself, but I think it's time I let my fellow S2K owners in on this funny ass story, even if it makes me look like a dumbass.

I bought my S2K about a month ago.

First day I had it, I was ****ing happy and giddy as hell.

So, before I pull out of the dealership, I put the top up.

However, the dealership did not inform me that I had to latch the roof after I put it up.

So, I merge onto the highway... and...

Well, the roof starts to blow up, I try to grab the roof so it won't go back any further, and now I'm going about 60 or 70, just getting used to driving an S2000.

The top almost gets torn off (think about opening an umbrella on the highway), but I slow down in time to prevent any damage.

However, the damage to my pride has been done.

Anyone who witnessed that event must have thought it was the funniest shit to ever happen.

Just think, some dumbass in an S2000 on the highway with the roof coming off and he's trying to hold it down...

Well, if you don't find that funny, guess you had to be there. I know I was. And I know I feel pretty damn stupid.

Enjoy!

Ha-Ha ! (In voice of Nelson from the Simpsons)
I read a story by a brand new S2k owner a year or so back - he was approached by a few people at a gas station and chatted about the car, showing them round it. He jumped back in, swirling with pride. Put the key in the ignition and turned it... Got very worried when it didn't start and turned it again ... and again...
You guessed it - he'd forgotten about the START button
Drove off away from the former admirers with a pile of egg on his face ....
I'm sure this has happened to several people.

I also hate when you are trying to show off in front of people, and you zip off and when you redline it in 1st, then go to shift in 2nd, and what happens?? KRUNCH!!!!! Damn gear grinding. I wish honda could have fixed that somehow. Oh well.

I had the same problem with the gas tank. It took me a good 20 minutes to find that darn thing. I felt pretty stupid because of that. I didn't want to call anyone so I stayed at the gas station during my lunch break trying to find it. When i finally did I was like wtf...Honda concealed that pretty good

I have an Acura Integra that I kept when I bought my S2k. I still drive the Integra to work when the weather's bad. Then I get in the S2K and move the shift lever to the right and back (where reverse is in the Integra) and try to back up in 6th gear. I've stalled it out several times. Impresses 'em every time.

Fortunately, that's 6th so it stalls instead of going forward.

one time when I drivng top down, I find out that I forget to put up the areo screen. then I try to put it up while I am driving and I only touch the plastic part because I dont want my finger print get on the glass. it is very hard to put the areo screen up like that.

I must look stupid when I driving like that.

OK How about this one.

Pulling up to a stop light. See some hotties on one side... Try to look cool and put the top down. Well on the other side a old Mustang pulls up and starts revving. So I drag him... the light turns green.

And I stall.

I forgot to release the ebrake when I was putting the top down. The Mustang killed me... and then the bitches laughed. I prefer to not remember that moment.
