I don't think it is proper to use the words "quiet" and "S2000" in the same sentence.
Compared to a Caterham or the original Cobra, the S2000 is a very quite car. Compared to just about everything else, it's a buzz bomb with a rag top, so "quiet" just doesn't apply.
I'll try to remember to take the SPL meter out and take a reading sometime. I do know that if you are shooting video, and have the mic mounted any higher than the transmission tunnel, wind noise will drown out everything else the mic picks up, even if you have a windscreen on the mic. Pickup is better with the mic in the footwell, but you still pick up a lot of wind noise.

I wouldn't use the word quiet to describe a stock S2000 at all. I mean, you can hold a conversation without too much trouble with the top up at highway speed but there is the engine drone and wind noise. Top down, of course, isn't quiet at all.
The S isn't a GT car but I really enjoyed driving it the 1,000 miles to get it home when I bought it. Intercity road trips in Texas have been great too. If you're looking for a quiet, roomy GT car then you might want to consider some other makes/models.

An s2k is the complete opposite of a quiet if thats what your looking for. I get a ton of windnoise through the front of the soft top, but im sure some hardtop latches can fix that. Engine is also very loud and theres a bunch of random rattles etc.... S2ks are anything but a comfortable daily driver but its a tradeoff you pay for an extremely fun/fast car. I wouldnt trade it for the questest most comfortablest car in the world

Okay good...I'm not the only one who thought the wind wind noise was exceptionally loud. I'm not into NASCAR at all but one thing I find that helps out the noise A LOT is to draft other cars.
