i know these are the reccommended dates by the manufacturer but i'm also one of those guys who still changes his oil every 3,000 miles...just wondering if others out there are more cautious like me...also
what oil do you use for the differential change? i'm coming up on my change soon (near 15k)

There's another thread on this somewhere. Basically, most of the people who have used other brands of fluid all now say to stick with the Honda-branded, Honda recommended lubricants - including the diff and trans fluids.
Given the potential for warranty work on both of these items, for the minimal gains that I might get from other brands, the insurance in in sticking with the Honda recommended juice. It would be so easy for Honda to deny your warranty claim if they established that you were using non-genuine fluid.
It's not worth the gamble.....stay with Honda lubricants.
Cheers,
