How often do you change your oil?
I'm wondering what owners of the S2K feel about the best mileage intervals to change oil. I'm aware of what the OM says, but it can't hurt to change the oil every 3,000 miles, can it? Why the hell not, it's only about $30, and I like to take better care of my car than it needs. The cleaner the oil the better, my engine deserves the best.
What do you think? What are your oil change intervals?

7,500 miles (I drive a lot of freeway). Nowhere in my manual does it say to do anything every 3,000 miles. Oil companies, however, have something else to say. Who am I going to believe?
If you don't have to waste oil with excess oil changes, please don't.

hey I'll take that oil from your 3,000 mile intervals and stick in my S.. save me some money..
I change every 7500. Could definitely go more, but thats a good number for me.

I change mine once a year just before winter storage. About 7k miles. Mobil 1 and a honda filter, about $32.
FWIW: I change the oil in my wife's Solara and my Ford Ranger at 5k miles with store brand oil and cheap filters. They both have 120k miles on them and are running great.
