ct as in Comptech

It took 7 hours to do it according to Comptech so about $500

I installed mine myself, but i believe $700 is a little bit out of the question

Btw, good choice

Well .. thank you, but this is not my S/c-ed (or soon to be) S2k .. it's a member on this board -- pjonkheer -- ...

most quotes in the chi-town area have been b/w $700-800.00 ... so i'm assuming he's not gunna get a better price than this.. however, I still think he's getting ripped off by at least $200.00

So Comptech says 7 hours, eh? why so long, i thought it was just a bolt on??!

Some places here are charging $70.00/hr, so that would be $490.00 ... that's much more reasonable .. but somehow, they're pulling the other $200.00 outta their A$$.

thanks for the replies

The Acura dealer that I work at is doing mine. I havent looked at the time for install but I thought it was 11 hours on the website, not sure though. Normally we charge 82.00 an hour.

I get it at 17.00 an hour, its what the mechanic makes an hour without dealership fees. Its good to work at a dealership.

do it yourself and save the money.

I installed a vortech kit on my car and it took me 16 hours and 3 days. That was with the off and on assistance of 2 other people.

read and follow the directions. Comptech is a simple install based on what I have read. Treat each section as a small project and then pull it together as a whole.

you will feel the reward of doing it yourself. I am mortgage/real estate person, not a mechanic.

No CEL or any problems at all. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
