i paid $1600 for the extended warranty!!! they first quote me $2300 for it! (what a rip off!)
paid MSRP + $20 (it's a long story ...)
got 6.25% APR for 60 months
if i go without the 7yr/100k extended warranty, i would have to stuck with 10.99% ...
so, the difference in APR % pretty much pays for the extended warranty
first time financing though ...

Paid about $3500 over MSRP. The extended 5yr/100,000 mile warranty was $800, a good deal.? Or maybe they just felt sorry for the reaming they gave me over the purchase price, which was still several thousand below what they were originally asking.

But I had to have it that day...

7/100 - through my credit union NOT through Honda Care. I'd rather select my own garage to do the work instead of a dealership doing the work. I paid around 950 for it.

$895 for the Warranty Gold Diamond Plan, 7 yr/100K, Zero deductible. The Diamond Plan is nice in that it covers everything except for a short list of specifically excluded consumable items. It also covers wear and tear as well as breakdown; my understanding of the HondaCare policy is that it only covers breakdown. In other words, if a part is out of spec but still functions, Warranty Gold covers it and HondaCare does not.

Paid MSRP for my car, but $923 for the 7 year/70,000 mile HondaCare extended warranty, so maybe I didn't really pay MSRP? It's a question of perspective I suppose.

Since I don't drive my S2K much (summer car) this warranty made more sense to me since I'll more likely reach 7 years long before I reach 70,000 miles.

But since my '97 Integra is now requiring major clutch work at 58,000 miles (just out of warranty) I'm glad I did the extended on the S2K.
