How many of you would NOT have bought the S2k if it was a front wheel drive?

RWD is the way to go, but I would still have bought the S had it been FWD. Learning to drive RWD and being beat down all these years by FWD, I would have settled, given the spirit of the car was unchanged.
I was on my way back to dealer from the test drive when I suddenly remembered it was rear wheel drive. I goosed the gas and fishtailed through the intersection. I was sold before, but that iced the cake (and scared the *^% out of my wife).
snap oversteer and tail happy == rear wheel drive == sweet!

Well I think the point is now proved. Those of us that are not just familiar with RWD, but actually find FWD annoying and stupid to the point of not owning one, don't have handling issues with the S. If you have the instincts developed to drive RWD, then no FWD will ever feel right. If you are used to FWD, then "snap oversteer" comes out of thin air. Perhaps you CAN forget how to ride a bike after all. (RWD bicycles don'tchaknow). Thanks for the responses. Nice to know we aren't all that rare!

I would not have bought it. I always wanted a Honda in RWD form and and NSX was out of my league. I would have just spent the dough on my old Integra. I encountered snap-oversteer once (actually last weekend), and I should not even have been driving. Yes, I learned my lesson!

When Honda designed the S2000, they had in mind a true sport roadster, so they naturally went for RWD. If they wanted to make something else (eg. a convertible salloon) then they would think about FWD.
How can a car like the S2000 be FWD.
Now, if I wanted a luxury saloon for the family, kids etc. then I would put safety at all road conditions first and I would buy a FWD or better a 4x4.
But I did not buy an S2000 for that

If the S was FWD I would have just kept my Accord V6 Coupe.
