How many of you still hit 100+ regularly?

haha, I doubt you have ever gone 150. Sorry, but 150 in a s2k is downright idiodic (without a proper rear wing). Lift increases with respect to speed so a small bump will make you very unhappy sir.

^its possible for sure...but is it something you want to be doing?
If anyone bought the s2000 for top speed runs they kind of have the wrong car. 150+ is just plain dumb. If anyone runs it with a stock s, show me a video of it...its not a speed youre going to hit fast either, youre gonna be on the throttle for a long time.

Sorry your fragile self esteem was hurt but that was not my intent. All I was inferring is that while Litchfield County in northwest CT has a great deal of wealth it's still very rural. Summer estates and what not. It's just too far from the city for commuting. So those folks are spared the heavy traffic we suffer in Fairfield County.
As for your I395 escapades, just as I suspected you are in the economic dead zone of eastern CT. No offense intended but it's the truth. Manufacturing long ago fled that area of the state and with Electric Boat cutbacks and no proximity to either Boston or New York or even Providence for that matter, the eastern half of the state is left to rely on service industry jobs from the casinos and small businesses. But the casinos have cut back severely in the current economic climate. So, no jobs = fewer people commuting into and out of that area = less population density and less traffic. Just a simple fact of geography and economics. No offense intended.
In the Southwestern corner of CT, Fairfield County is a bedroom community for Stamford & New York. We have a higher population density because we have more (and higher paying) jobs because of our proximity to these cities. That means more people living here and more people commuting into and out of the area every day. Again, a simple fact of geography and economics, no value judgement was intended. The price we pay (one of them anyway) is traffic that absolutely sucks. My 35 mile commute from Trumbull to Stamford can take anywhere from 45 minutes (ideal conditions) to 2 hours (weather & accidents). The norm is 1:20.....for 35 miles. That's about 26 mph! It sucks. My opportunities to hit 80 mph may come once every couple of weeks and last less than a half mile or 30 seconds. C'est la Vie baby. Hence my love affair with less travelled back roads and small roadsters.
I noticed that you're driving an 01 S2K. Sorry, but older/used cars sort of fit the profile for the eastern half of the state too. Fact, not opinion.

You are the one with the fragile self esteem. Only a fool would bring up the year of a vehicle to try to boost his own self image.
Carry on, you are quite superior to all of the rest of us.

Oh my God, you are an asshole. This is exactly why people think everyone from New England is an ass.

PS - Make sure you do the maintenance on that 2001 S2K before heading off to Idaho. It's a long drive for an old car. I want to make sure you get there safely. Because I care.

I'm living near the german autobahn and i see alot of 150+ on my speedo with a vmax of 274 ( 170mph ) once..
When the car was stock the rear end felt really loose at high speeds..
Running KWv3 now and some other mods and its day and night difference.

Now and again hit 100.. probably once a week but only barely 100 (e.g. 104 or 109)
After 120ish it gets fairly noisy + breaking after that kind of speed is sketchy to say the least... feels like the front end gets light and skitty and the wheels wanna skid across the road!!

Fool? Oh I don't know, looks like my missile found it's target. Why did you move here if you hate New England so much? Why did you choose to live in the state's "dead zone"? I can only assume it's better than whatever area of the country you came from. Or, you made a really bad decision. No worries, please feel free to move again any time you like. I hear Mississippi and Idaho have plenty of open roads and the people are reportedly much nicer. They probably won't mind at all when you swear at them. Bon voyage! Adieu mon ami!

That's twice you have taken the bait now. You are very amusing. So far you have assumed that you know where I live and my economic status. You are wrong on both. I don't have any reason to tell you either, but the fact that you have a $30K car and are proud of it and think it's an income indicator tells me volumes about you.
You are still an ignorant ass, in my opinion.
Thanks for proving once again to everyone that your type deserves it's stereotype.
You're a winner!
