The s2k is scary @ high speeds (higher than 80). The bigger american cars (like camaro) feel so much more stable.

The s2k being light = twitchy
steering is quick = twitchy
Suspension is tight = twitchy
bad rear aero, "Lift" on the back instead of Downforce = twitchy

twitchy + high speeds = death.

I do hit 100 once a month or once every two months tho

wtf are you guys doing to make the car feel like that at high speed? the S was engineered to be somewhat composed at these speeds...maybe something is wrong? I dunno coming from an accord, anything else is stable at 130 mph

I knew there would be quite a bit of "save it for the track" in this thread. I understand many people feel that way, but a good number clearly dont. We all have moms, come on guys.

Ha who cares about speed! Not a possibility for me. I bought the S2000 because there is no place you can drive drive safely at high speeds any day of the week, any hour of the day in my area. I live in Fairfield County, CT and the traffic here is oppressive. But, if I get off the major thoroughfares and onto small twisty back roads the S2000 is still a joy to drive. So that's how I commute every day. I'll take an hour shooting through turns at 30 - 60 over an hour crawling along staring at truck bumpers any day.

To those of you with open roads.....hats off boys & girls.

I really haven't felt like the car was unstable until at least 130. Feels rock solid at 100 mph. I regularly go 80-90 if the traffic is light enough. 75-80 is about normal, 100 if it's wide open...and I don't stay at that speed for very long at all. I only drive my car once or twice every couple weeks - so 100 mph is easily reached when I do get behind the wheel.

i do it 3-4 times a week, i live in central florida, and i take the interstate quite often, so i have ease of access. it climbs up 100+ pretty quick, so im surprised more people haven't hit the triple digit mark, its pretty stable up there even with the top down, the fastest ive ever been was 120(with the top down) it was stable....i just s**t my pants so i slowed down
