When I had my 2003 CL-S, I once opened the sun roof and got conked on the head with a friggin' coconut. The guys on acura-cl.com had a good laugh while I had the head-ache.

I don't own an S yet, but I do have a yellow car now. Whenever I stop to get gas, leave the windows open anywhere, or no matter what, bees are attracted to it. Moreso than the car parked right next to me.

It's a PITA, that's for sure, but I def. understand what you're talking about.

bees and wasps are naturally attracted to the color yellow (as in spa) but it might have been a bumble bee considering your carbon fiber hood. lol

Next time something stings you rub a little raw papaya on it...lots of venoms are counteracted by the papain in it. down here we al have adolphs meat tenderizer in our medicine chests cause it's papain based. works on lots of stings

Yah I know what you mean Fltsfshr! I see bees on my S all the time. I have a spa yellow too. Do any other Spa owners also attract bees?

I wasn't aware of that. I've caught Yellow Jackets, which I think is a kind of wasp, and while I was squishing him, I could see his stinger shooting in and out from his butt. I know that Horse Flies bite like crazy.

Xviper

We got caught in huge blackfly hatch in Ontario fishing a walleye tournament, never ran from a place so fast I can still feel them crawling in my hair. They covered our van like stucco by the time we got out of there.

Thats one bug that bites you can keep in Canada ...give me a fire ant any day..

The worst thing I ever got me was an egret. I was on a 305 Yamaha and he blindsided me. I took the bird right in the helmet at around 45 mph. I just had a half face shield put on the week before.

When we hit the bird exploded I almost drove off a bridge into a channel. I couldn't see a thing. I didn't know what happened or why until I managed to stop the bike and take off my helmet. I was covered in bird blood and feathers. The bird hit right across my eyes and broke the face shield . People were stopping, they thought I was really hurt with all the blood, but I didn't have a scratch. Just a few feathers stuck here and there.
