Hey LT,

Sorry about your loss but glad you're OK. Can you get those seats in out of the rain? and pack em for shipping? Looks like your insurance company will get the salvage but....

If you can I might be interested.

A week ago I spun, hit a concrete wall at about 80, spun off of it, and hit another wall before coming to a stop. Hit the first wall dead on from the back, and hit the second wall on the passenger's side of the front bumper. (This was on a track -- I hit some standing water and lost control.)

No airbag. The hit has to be almost dead on the front to set the airbag off.

Car is now in the body shop, and will be for a while.

These are very tough cars.

mike, I'm glad you're ok, and I felt the exact same way. My reaction was wow, I was hardly scratched visually and the cabin was untouched. I felt secure and safe.

Nate, i'll see what I can do aboout the seats. Follow the first thread at my local Mid-A site, and I'll keep you posted. So far, the adjuster quoted ~$10-12k damage, but to be totalled, it's >75% of cars value.

I'm kinda glad my airbags did not deploy, that could've caused more damage. I felt safe and secure in the S2000. I will consider getting a new one or trading it in.

I'll keep you posted, and thank you all for the replies.

You don't know how right you are in this statement. I came upon the aftermath of a low speed accident (less than 10 mph) where an elderly driver hit a tree head on. The airbag went off and peeled the skin off the insides of both her arms down to red meat.
