how many miles on stock clutch?
I've got 28,100 on mine and it's completely gone.
The car is still under warranty, and the dealer is telling me that 30k is 'normal' for these cars. Oh and that it'll be a $1500 repair _if_ the flywheel is okay.
Is 30k seriously normal for these things? I've only had the car for 9k miles and I legitimately haven't abused it. The clutch started slipping about the same time the pedal began 'sticking' right at the top, when you depress it. The dealer told me that the sticking was a clutch fork issue and that would be repaired as a warranty item, but that it had nothing to do with the clutch slipping, that was just 'normal' wear and tear.
What do you guys think?

I had my clutch adjusted as part of my 30K servicing (yes, I let the dealer do it) and it was like new. Then again, I got 35,000 miles out of my original rear tires so maybe it's just me.

im at 70k and need an adjustment or perhaps replacement soon. Also got 20k out of a set of Bfgoodrich traction T/A's. However, I do have a hypthesis on this situation. Something that happens alot on fleet vehicles is that wear patterns are different as per a drivers technique. So when someone drives a manual for X miles. Then someone new drives it, the clutch wear patterns change. Generally wearing the clutch faster.

30k is not "normal" but it's definitely possible. If the previous owner of your car beat on it or liked to ride the clutch, 28000 is not unbelievable.
I hade mine replaced after 42k miles. It wasn't shot, but I had a perfect opportunity to get it replaced while I was getting some unrelated transmission work done. The Honda dealership told me $1700, including bearings, pressure plate, flywheel, labor everything. But, because Honda Care was paying to drop the tranny and put it back in, I saved $750 on labor.

The clutch was abused at some point.
