How many miles did you get out of your S02's? I think it is time to change mine.

I checked the tires for thread depth during lunch.

LF RF
outside 6/32" 5/32"
middle 7/32" 7/32"
inside 6/32" 6/32"

LR RR
outside 4/32" 2/32"
middle 5/32" 4/32"
inside 2/32" 2/32"

On the rears I measured the middle at the deepest channel I could find in the pattern. Looks like the inside of the rears is about gone.

Anbody have a good but not too expensive recommendation for replacements. I bought my car used with a new set of Michelin Pilots that were $250 a tire at tire rack. They seem like really nice tires, but $500 every 10,000 miles seems steep for a commuter car and I have a personal policy about buying Michelin's because they are a french company. I had good luck with some Sumitomo's on my last car, but they wore kind of quickly and I think it would be even worse on the S.

16K on the original set. Fronts look pretty good, but the rears won't last too much longer And that's with one track day and many autoXs.

20,000 on the originals and I think they're good enough to wait until next summer for replacement. Only one day of true "abuse" when I went to an empty parking lot and deliberately broke the rears loose (repeatedly) under hard turning acceleration so I would have a feel for it.

I got 5,000 miles on my last set of rear S-02s. Really.

I have a little over 10K on my S-02s now and will probably replace the rears at 12K-13K miles.
