Bone stock since September '99. Only additions: Muz mats, Rick's S badge. S2Ki plate frames, EZ Pass on windshield.

Wow...chalk up another voice of amazement that so many of us are stock or so near to it! I think of my AP1 as nearly-stock because no mods have been made to the powertrain/running gear. I have added an auto-dimming rearview mirror, seatlocks, and--all from Rick's --floormats, digital gauge set, full-height windblocker, and Voodoo shift knob. It looks and sounds bone-stock from the outside, which I think minimizes the chances of being stopped or hassled. For that matter, it looks bone-stock from the inside to anyone except another s2000 owner....

Probably switch from S-02's to Neova's when I'm ready for 4 new tires (rears just replaced at 13K, fronts have 6/32" still), which means upgrading to 17" wheels.

I like the idea of keeping the powertrain stock mostly because I think stock offers the most reliability. (No hard data, I admit, just one of those feelings.) If I ever do decide to mod the powertrain, FI and gears would top the list. Then I'll officially admit it's no longer stock.

So stock, even my signature is stock.

(Actually only future mods will be within Solo II rule limits...front anti-sway bar, cat back exhaust, etc.)

Bone stock here too except for the stereo, GPS (sat nav) and semi slicks in the back after 26.500km's

Mainly because the car is quite OK as it is, because the car is still under warranty so no S/C yet and I'm in the process of buying a house right now. Finding horses without going S/C is quite expensive and does not bring that much gain IMO on our engines.

Anyway, doesn't matter how many horses you put in your car, you will always end up wanting more because getting used to it. And there is not much competition here also... And I like the classic looks of the S, so I do not want to add spoilers etc...

i'm stock for now as I don't know what mods to get. Intake will probably be the first one. Thinking of injen as I had great success with it in my old celica. Other than that, how much do gears usually run? I would dump some $$ into the S but owning a supra is kinda hard as its my piggy bank.

Just whiteline front sway bar here, and the leather center console cover and 02+ top/glass window.

Trying to get back to bone stock. I bought a used car. Dumped the CD changer, amp and sub (too much weight). Trying to figure out how to remove the Clifford alarm (false alarms are a pain). In terms of real world driving, the S seems as near to perfection as you can get for the $. I'll begin modding once I've had more seat time.

I was stock (for the longest time), but now i have a injen cai and amuse lip. I got my ap1 wheels powdercoated black and my resonator clipped from my stock exhaust. BTW I think the stock exhaust should come this way. IMO it sounds so exotic, ferrari-ish at high RPM's. I want gears and coilovers and i will consider it done. I'll put the rest of my hard earned money towards saving for a house or my IRA.

stock (so far)

I'm in the "too broke to mod" club.

also, when you look at the average cost per 1 hp (about $150, correct me if im wrong) it isnt really easy/cheap to get noticable gains.

just my $.02

oh, i lied... i just got the resonator removed (today) but that is hardly a mod.
