try doing a search next time...

but long story short. if you do it wrong, your diff will go bye bye. so seeing as you don't know how to launch correctly why risk ruining a perfectly good car?

A stock diff definitely shouldn't be tampered with unless you know what you're doing. There are aftermarket diffs that are better for launching your car. But you'll find that a lot of S2K owners auto cross their cars instead of just racing them at a dragstrip. These cars are fun and have a lot more to offer than a quarter-mile time

since u have a 2007 .. they have a clutch delay valve .. preventing you from sending to much power to the rear.. also if you race with traction control on.. u cant launch

besides.. s2k roadster not dragster.. street racing other peoples pointless since most people other have crappy cars thats not even worth your time or money

Yeah, don't do hard launches; it's not worth it. If you must street drag, find an empty road and do it from a roll.

Man this is crazy... How can this rear end be so weak? So dumping the clutch, regardless of engine speed will pop the rear end after only a few passes?

Lets take a look at my Datsun 240Z. 30+ year old car, original differential, unknown miles. R180, L28ET making twice the intended power... countless launches, donuts, etc - and after all the it finally went pop. Then comes the R200 from an '87 300ZX turbo. I beat on it for over a year before the car went into storage. Regardless, the R180 was a 30+ year old diff with twice the power intended being thrown at it and unknown (100+K miles, odometer is only 5 digit.)

So whats the deal. C'mon Honda... this is crap.

You can always try it and see what happens.

- Rev to 6k while holding the clutch.
- Sidestep the clutch (Quickly slide your foot off the clutch towards the brake so the clutch flies back into position)
- When the clutch catches, mash the gas

If your tires don't break tire traction, your diff will explode. Your clutch delay valve will probably make you burn your clutch, leaving you with a wonderfully awful smell for a few miles.

Another solution is to race from a rolling start.

This is why I'd be scared to death to buy one of these used.
