I had a little talk with me myself and I and after a couple seconds, we agreed to keep it forever...This was my first real new car and I fully intend to keep it forever...like many of you said it is a timeless piece..and I don't care if mine is modded out to holy hell, I'll keep it the way it is...my car, my mods, my signature on a legend

Well I've had mine for 6 years or so already. I still love it and after driving any number of newer cars I haven't found another one that does it for me as well. The only one that comes close is the GTR, but there's that little thing called price that spoils it.

Sure there are a few little things I'd love to have different in the S, but the key word there is LITTLE.

Currently I have no plans to sell my baby, but who knows what tomorrow will bring. But I can tell you this, any replacement would have to be one heck of a car.

At this point, there isn't another car that I can see myself (affordably) driving besides my S2k. I would like to keep it for as long as I can...but later on in life who knows how I will be thinking.

Also, lately the Porsche Cayman S has been catching my eye...so that could be a potential replacement Waaaaaaaaayyyy later down the road.

Cars evolve, there will be something better.
I'll be hanging on to mine. While something better will eventually come along the odds are against finding something with the same combination of price/performance/reliability. You can certainly find something better if you're willing to give up on one or more of those characteristics...

Probably a couple more years and then trade all 3 vehicles into 1. I tried justifying selling my 2 cars and bike for a Lotus Elise, but I figure I need a car in the winter and I love my bike too much.

I plan on keeping mine for a long long time.

The other day I parked next to a brand new Solstice, and I was amazed at how a car that was designed almost a decade ago can look so much better than one designed a couple of years ago. It has a timeless look, and I want to be able to drive it on weekends in 30 years and see how it compares to whatever we are driving then.

Right on!

This is what makes it sooooo hard to ever want to get rid of the S2k. I drive through areas where Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches run rampant, and I still get looks in my s2k. That really has a significant meaning to me.
