How long does it take to receive from MUZ?

this really has nothing to do with muz but i have had car parts shipped from down unda...as they were pretty heavy [airfreight was out] it involved containers, freight forwarders, waybills, customs[they love to break into "automobile parts"shipments to look for cheap poorly made fasteners] and the ever pleasant trip to the freight warehouse [always in the worst part of the wharf area..often after regular business hours]..weeks can become months ....however it got even worse when i had to ship parts to new zealand..the guys address was mostly maori words with no numbers!! as no one would ship to such an address,he set up a drop site in auckland...[or was it christchurch..] a mere 6 hour drive..one way.. in his land rover...but hey; he got his parts!

what a pain in the ass. still don't have the packages, 20 days later
DHL is the worst delivery company I have ever dealt with. Want it done right, use Fed-Ex. I would say you get what you pay for, but I shelled out $90+ for this....
They have made 4 delivery attempts. But they did not bother to leave a single note until today. And today, after they had been instructed to leave the packages at my door, they just left a note. Now theyre saying they won't redeliver because its been more than one attempt, despite the fact they never left a note the other 3 times.
The worst part was, they would not accept any responsibility, just kept on making excuses for why I did not receive the packages and why no note was left. All I know is, I get packages through UPS, USPS, and Fed-Ex on a reg basis with no problems
Long story short, on top of paying $90 for shipping, now I have to spend 30mins driving across town to pick it up, during work hours, and drive another 30mins back.....real nice

To the best of my knowledge signing for a consignment is a requirement listed in every shipping company's terms and conditions I've ever dealt with and I've dealt with them all.
I have on occassion seen people post pics of wheels, exhausts and other items just left on their porch. This of course highly increases the chance of theft while at the same time minimises the chances of making a successful claim if the goods are stolen. It is irresponsible of shipping companies to do anything other than demand a consignment be signed for. For that to happen somebody has to be there, not neccessarily the consignee.
