Word of advise,
I work at a honda dealership and i've seen a decently trained prep technitions install the factory alarms on Civic Si's (99-00 coupe) in about 20 minutes (actual work time). I'm sure the S2000 dash is slightly more
complex and difficult to work on, but I can't see why the factory alarm couldn't be installed in less than an hour. As I stated before these times are directed to a factory alarm install, aftermarket alarms I don't have to much faith in. They don't seem to last too long and as stated in the forum the remotes seem to die with
in the first few months if not weeks. I fully understand that there are great higher end aftermarket alarms on the market, but most under the $400 range seem to be inferior.
Anyway's in Houston, TX there is a stereo shop called Audio Designs located on FM1960. This shop
produces some of the most insane electrical installs and the owner one time told me that a good alarm can easily take 8 hours plus to install correctly. It seems a little long but you get what you pay for I guess.
Spend it once, spend it correctly!
