HOw long did you wait to really get on it?
Well, at 1600 miles right now and kinda had the back a little out and doing some quick-shifting and such, no burnouts or anything, but the azz did slide a bit when i took a turn. Should i hold off on some of this or can i feel free to oociasinally get on her, even though shes still young? Never owned a new car so i am curious as to what the results of such will be? Anyone do the same and having porblems down the line? thanks, mike

I hit 9K for the first time at exactly 600 miles. For the next 100 miles, I kept it below 7K. At 700 miles, one more trip to 9K. Then 100 miles below 8K, then another trip to 9K. After that, I rarely held back the impulse.
My over all average so far (including longer freeway trips) is about 8 times every 100 miles.....

I waited until about 780 miles (1255 km) before I took her over 6000 rpms. The first few times I sort of just gradually went up to 9000 rpms, but after the first time I really dropped the hammer and felt VTEC, there was no going back.
I now VTEC at least 10-20 times every day....
