How Long Did Original Top Last?

2007, garage kept since new, IIRC got 7 years before replacing the top, maybe 50K miles. Most of the fabric was fine but got caught in the "top-bow-pinch" before I noticed what was happening. Replacing tension straps only gave the briefest respite. Usually top-down 9 months of the year, left car top-down in garage and only top-up at office.
New canvas top still looks good after two years but yet another set of tension straps already not up to the job, coaching the wife to check bow position every time the top goes down.

This was not unexpected. I've read that some people replace them yearly, and it's not like they're expensive.
