How important is corner balancing?
I will be going to West end alignment in a few weeks to get my KWV3's installed and I will be getting the car aligned as well. I wanted to know if someone could tell me how necessary corner balancing is an a car driven on the street. The car will be lowered between 1.25"-2". Will there be an improvement in handling? I have no other suspension mods except massive re050 tires. Anybody?

Not that important for a car primarily street driven as long as all corner are close to level with each other. It helps with adjusting handling differences on left/right hand turns. I did it on my car, but did not notice a significant difference from just a proper alignment.

Not very. It only matters for making sure the cornering limits are exactly the same going left as they are going right.
Probably you should just have it checked but not fine tuned. Depends on what else you want to spend your money on. It's probably an extra hour or two of shop labor rates.

Of course, why would you spend extra on coilovers since you aren't going to corner balance...could have just gotten springs and shocks.
BTW...if the KWs are new, you need to let the springs settle for a couple hundred miles before getting an alignment. As the springs settle the car will lower changing the suspension geometry.

I'm surprised, the OP is very smart about other things - not the nicest guy at times but hey
