I dont think losing control in the rain can be considered as drifting, but i guess its easier than i thought to get this car sideways.

Snap oversteer is not very fun at all.

Well then again, it can be. If you're an idiot.

It's no harder to get the S2000's tail out, but long power slides take more finesse with the S2000. If the finesse isn't there, the S2000 will get you into trouble, and will do so a LOT quicker than the Miata.

It's pretty easy if you know what you're doing.
It can happen suddenly and uncontrollably if you don't.

Take the car to autocross events and you'll develop a good feel for what the car will and will not do depending on how you drive it.

S is real scary sometimes... I can't feel the rear end. Last time I made a quick right turn into the big street because I tried to beat the yellow light. I was already at 2nd gear and all I did was making a faster than usual right turn (wasn't even 90 degree turn). I literally drifted onto the big street (glad that the road was wide), and I immediately counter-steered to get the control back. This is my 2nd time spinning and I was lucky both of the times. I seriously think one day something shitty is gonna happen lol. All I have to say is one must be really careful with S during "COLD WEATHER."

Snap oversteer can be scary. Good thing the S2000 doesn't have the problem.

Hahaha, it can be pretty sudden, even if you do know what you're doing. I've scared myself, in the wet, with tires that were overdue for replacement.

I don't "drift" one the street, especially in the rain. The S2000 can just be too darn unforgiving of mistakes, and it's not worth the risk. Besides, going around one corner with the tail hanging out isn't really drifting anyway; Unless you go into the turn sideways, it's just a power slide.

Silentdancer, it's just a matter of time. I just hope nobody gets hurt. .

Hey guys just a random question here, when i had my old NB miata it was so easy to kick the rear end out. Sometimes when making a left turn or something all i would have to do is blip the trottle above 3k and i could easily control it and powerslide for several feet and it was pretty fun.

Now i have an ap1 and im much more intimidated by a bit since it feels so much heavier than the miata and i know the earlier ap1s have the biggest rear sway bars which makes it more prone to oversteering but it just seems like if i were to go into a slide i would just end up spinning. the car feels so much more planted and grips better than the miata. thoughts anyone?
It's pretty easy to do. What's hard to do is to keep it from going all the way around once it starts yawing more than about 10 degrees or so.

hhahah uuuh yeah. and thats why I saw an s2000 go airborne in front of me when he hit a curb haha. stupid drifter.

Seriously though, s2000, w/ stock setup and stagger isn't tough. reduce stagger w/ no sway bar adjustment and it is even scarier. Snap oversteer scares me sometimes, I have just learned to be pre-emptive for it, but it can still come on fast.
