I have the problem in reverse, everyone want's to race me....if I had a buck for everytime some dude in a Lexus pulled up next to me on the freeway, rode along side of me for a mile or two,and then punched it ...i'd have alot of money. What is it with these Lexus people?...
A feeling I know all too well. I can't go a day without getting tailed by this little prick in his daddy's GS400. Finally had to show him what the S was made of. I think that's the only way you can get them off your back

Drive it like you just killed 5 people and stole the S2000. Just kidding for all you sensitive readers.

It's addicting, how can you not VTEC every time the car is warmed up? My problem is I can't find enough people to race. I pass C5s, TA Ram Airs, Cobra Mustangs...they seem to all be mommy's boys (girls). I know a guy at work with a '00 M3. He envy's my 9000 redline, but I can't get him to race.

I do try to lay off the grandma's in the Buicks.

I pretty much just keep accelerating as fast as traffic is permitting, and pretty much every clean chance I get on a corner i'll powerslide. The car is way too predictable not to use that RWD and kick the back end loose whenever. I guess I do drive it like I stole it! The one thing that sometimes keeps me in check is the amount of times I have to fill up at the gas station. I feel like when i'm vtec'ing I can see the light bar disappearing! I don't really try to "drag race" at all lately...I just drive at my pace, and sometimes people will try to catch up and match. I don't like to race anybody on the street because alot of these people around miami are idiots and will do something stupid as hell to try and win.

Well, Im not sure how hard I drive, But my wife does cry almost everytime we take the car out

She scares kinda easy...

at 90mph...she starts saying slow down
at 100mph she starts getting mad!
at 110mph she starts getting upset!
a couple seconds later at 125mph or so she folds into the seat (like in a fetal position)

I can't imagine a day in my S2000 where I'm not driving it how most consider it hard. Then again, I'm one of those people who never seems to actually cruise at a steady speed. Driving is the act of accelerating or braking, there really isn't anything in between (oh yeah, steering and balancing the car with the throttle until you can accelerate again).

Hehe, this thread reminds me of a day when I was visiting a customer and making small talk about the car. He asked how many times I've revved it to 9000 RPM, my response was "you mean on the way here, right?".

lolz, watch out for cops guys, so far S2000 owners are the craziest driving group I've met. So far every S2000 I've seen has driven crazy infront of me, especially the ones I've met and talk to (yes all you bay area owners).

There was no 2000 M3....response to above.
E36 would be '99 or earlier. E46 (current style) = '01 or '02

I hit 9k with mine as soon as I had 600 miles on it. My daily commute is all empty country backroads at 4a.m. so there's no traffic whatsoever but I still only have one spot on my commute where I wind it to 9k and that's only in first and second gear. Most of the time my shift points are between 6k and 7k.
