How to guess 1/4 by your 1/8 mile time?
Just wondering how to convert an 1/8th mile time into a probable 1/4mile time. Example, I did the 1/8th in 9.5sec, what 1/4 could I expect? Is there a way to determine? The 9.5sec 1/8th was with no launching at all and my first try ever. I didn't even push down on the gas until I started the run hehe. So I wont be upset if thats a very slow time...
So I'm not so worried about what my time would have been as much as I am worried about how to convert it. But knowing mine would be nice

That just doesnt seem right. 9.5 1/8 isnt good at all. I didnt even launch. I just hit it from the idle revs. And 14.25 is a pretty good time for an s2000.

You would get high 14's in the 1/4 mile with a 9.5 1/8 mile. Drop into the low 9's in the 1/8th and you'll get low 14's in the 1/4. I speak from many years of drag racing the S2000 every week. You can't really guess what a car will do based on it's 1/8th mile. Some cars are great off the line then run out of steam so their 1/8th mile looks good but their 1/4 mile sucks. The S2000 is slow off the line unless you drop the clutch at high rpm's and it does better in the top end giving it a decent 1/4 mile time. The S2000 is hard to get consistant times with. One time you may get 14.1-14.2 and another time you're getting 14.8's. Go drag race on a 1/4 mile or get the G-Tech Pro then you'll know for sure.
