Default How good a track car is the S2000?

I compiled this list of lap times done at "Rundenzeit Hokenheim" track in Germany and there are 92 cars in the list. The testing was done by the German magazine "Sport Auto" by the same driver (Horst Von Saurma). Even though they were all done in the dry, they were not all done at the same time, hence same temperature/conditions. These times have been clocked over the last couple of years so they will only give you a guuideline to where the cars 'fit' as sometimes they run some cars at two different occasions and the lap times differed by up to 1sec - in which case I took the best time.

btw, "Rundenzeit Hokenheim" track is a short track with the top speed for the S2000's being there about 170kph.

Anyway, see where the S2000 'fits' ... it's 24th in the list; though it's interesting seeng what cars are around it.

BMW Z3 Coupe?

It is interesting that a Viper did so well, but that a Corvette didn't. Does anyone know anything about this track?

Results confirm what we all know about the S2K -- competes with much pricier cars. An interesting tidbit: the SMG M3 was slower than the manual M3, Interesting. Thanks for the list.

Here are more lap times to show the great company the S2000 keeps at the track.

I saw one in a dealer showroom. No price shown. The GT2 come with a built in rollcage. You wouldn't believe how wide the rear tires are on those. Almost twice as wide as the s2K's. I would like one under my X-mas tree as well.

There is no price shown, the sales man takes you straight to a mortgage broker and discusses the equity in your house before a test drive. JK
