Seriously, there are people who don't wear seatbelts anymore?
j/k, just wear the seatbelt all problems solved

Just try unplugging the clip on the seat? I am not sure if this will work, or if the buckling in actually grounds a circuit to kill the chime. If it does not work, chances are the chime is operating off a circuit that is turned off when the ground is completed (similar to the switch for the top and the e-brake).

Two ghetto fixes, go to the junk yard and cut a buckle off another car and stick it in the latch so it thinks your wearing your belt. 2nd, you can plug your passenger seat belt into the driver side and it won't go off anymore.

One time I was at the stealership just waiting to get my car back and this 16 year old looking girl was pleading with the people to remove the reminder. Kind of funny I thought, especially when they said they couldn't because it was a state law to always wear a seatbelt. She wouldn't stop her debate.
With how small the S is.. the seat belt really doesn't make a difference in terms of "free room" in the cabin...

Gee, how 'bout wearing the damn thing. Problem solved.
I saw this remarkable thread a few hours too late, and about 12 people beat me to it.
Surely, the guy who started this, and the second guy who agreed, are joking. Especially driving a tiny little car where it rains all the time.
