Default How to get Monte Carlo Blue in the states?

Hi there,

I'm a newbie to this forum, 1st post. I've been bitten by the s2000 bug, and we're getting one (probably today)! Likely to be an '04 in suzuka blue, but I REALLY like MC blue, and was wondering how the guys on this board who have one got it in the states (other than painting it). Thanks in advance!

The only MCF Blue's I am aware of in the US were repainted.

I don't know if anyone has succeeded in getting the color straight from Honda.

The way to get MCB in the states is to have the car repainted. Japan now refers to this color as Royal Navy Blue Pearl.

Platinum White Pearl, Moonrock Metallic, Monza Red Pearl, Imola Orange Pearl....Japan keeps all the good colors for themselves. I'm still trying to figure out why the idiot(s) at AHM decided that we wouldn't like those colors.

How about going to the nearest Chevy dealer.

In all seriousness, as the other have pointed out, AHM doesn't import that color. If you even think about trying to import one yourself, good luck. You will spend countless hours and dollars doing it, a repaint will look like a huge bargain in comparison.

i called a registred importer 2 years ago about bringing in a German Monte Carlo Blue S2000 that a guy in the military was selling for $26k. The Registered Importer said it would probably be about $10k to get it properly through customs..... Not sure why, but......... it would be easier to just paint one.....

goodluck..... you would have thought since Honda probably looks at this board that they would have offered MC Blue as an option by now.?

I agree, I would love a Monte Carlo.
I'm also curious to see what's up with this:
