How fitting. . .my last issue of Automobile magazine!
I arrived home tonight to find my monthly Automobile magazine bound with a paper covering exclaiming "Don't let this be your last issue."
So, I thought to myself, I should send for another year's subscription. But of course, after I turned the makeshift paper cover, I find a 350Z garnishing the front cover. And what I thought (for a moments glance) was a Red S2000, turned out to be a Mazda RX-8.
So, I begin to turn the pages, one by one and I find myself thinking how cars (in general) are becoming more and more alike. As I look over the Nissan Murano ad followed later by the Chrysler Pacifica. I thought to myself, eventually, SUV's will evolve back to Station Wagons.
My senses are fluttered as the aroma of baby oil and wild fragrances abound from a VW ad leaving me with a slight sinus pressure, thanks Volkswagen!
Then it hits me on page 48. I see a Z4 and I see Chris Bangle and I see Design of the Year for the Z4 and then I see Man of the Year for Chris Bangle
I didn't know what to do, between the Murano ad and VW fairy dust, I was in shock and could not move. I gathered the strength to flip a few more pages and thats when a near full size picture of Chris Bangle took me out.
I eventually recovered and was taken down yet again by the RX8 write up.
So, how could I resist another month without Automobile magazine. Thanks for making my decision easy Jean Jennings.

While there is an obvious theme there, these are the only mags I regularly buy. I will occasionally pick up a copy of EVO, but sometimes I question their reporting too.
