How easy is it to remove the Hardtop?
It seems like it takes a lot of work to put on the hardtop...
Question: How easy is it to remove the top and just go for a drive?
Once you remove the top, wouldn't the hard top's parts still be on the s2k and have to be removed again?
My uncle's SL500 is pretty easy to put on and off.. I know it's sort of tedious to put on the hardtop for the s2k, but how easy is it to take off and put back on?

its a pita to do by yourself, but some companies make rope pully kits that help.
our top is light, but big enuf that its really hard to carry/move it. My miata I can put off and on by myself tho.

there are two clips in the front along the windshield, same as the soft top and then there are two swivel locks right behind the driver and passenger headrest that lock the back half of the roof on. There is also a little wire that gets plugged in on the drivers side right by that swivel lock for the rear defrost. Its about a 30 second job with a two people simply to lift it up and take it away.
