I use a car cover with an antenna pocket. Same company's cover for another vehicle didn't have one so I just removed the antenna on that vehicle when covering.

unscrew it or use the middle cardboard roll from paper towel rolls and cut to length

I have the same cover. Great quality cover, especially for tree sap and bird poo. And it fits great, antenna and all.

my antenna looks bent and limp like a old man's wet noodle
You should be at the age where you know how to get things done. When the moment is right for you to cover, you will be ready. Be sure to ask your mechanic if you are ready to cover it. Do not drink excessively if you are going to cover it. You know your car is right for you, be ready.

1. Well said! Dry humor at its best!

Cut a small piece of PVC pipe and slide over it.

They are ugly and they eventually go limp , get a shorty metal antenna. My oem car cover has a sock for the antenna.
Speak for yourself. Mine stands tall and erect in all its glory.
Must be nice to be young again

And don't forget to call a doctor if the cover still looks like a tent after 4 hours.
