Default How do you let go of the clutch?

I'd imagine one would not rest the heel on the floor during spirited driving ... ?

Resting your heel on the floor to "slide" the clutch out is a good beginners way of manual driving. Once it becomes second nature, there is no heel resting on the floor!

Resting my heel on the floor, only in first, third, and sixth,is the best and fastest way to shift.

I guess people just have different methods of driving/shifting. If I even attempt to do it the beginner way of "sliding" with heel on the floor, I can't feel the clutch engagement too well....

Well, that's what makes people individuals!

It's no worse than the "How do you shift into 3rd gear?" thread!

During spirited driving my heel NEVER touches the floor.

feet drag = delayed shifting

In normal driving it seems like I shift smoother when I rest my heel on the floor (just started trying this). I usually don't rest my heel on the floor for anything though.
