Default How do people feel about the s2000?

I've once read an article about a guy who was heavily into the import scene with a 11sec integra who had a chance to get behind the wheel of a 99' Porsche 996. He just raved about the car on how smooth and powerful the engine felt and sounded. Not to mention how refined the car was. He said that he thought about all the times that he went out looking for Ferraris and Porsches to hit them up for a race cause his car was faster.

He was in the Porsche at a stop-light when this guy pulled up in an Integra revving him but ignored him. All he could think about was that he wasn't gonna waste his time on a $10,000 Integra when he was in a $80,000 sports car because a fast Integra is still just an Integra. He didn't care if the Integra would be faster or not. He said that the only guy who cares is the guy who's trying to start the shit.

Now my question is, if it was a s2000 instead of the Integra, would he have felt the same way? And do feel the same way as the guy in the Porsche if it happened to you in your s2000?

I typically ignore them. While my reasons for doing so are not nearly as "snobbish" as that of the Porsche owner, the end result is the same. No street race.

I like fast cars too, but as CG said, there is a place and time for fast driving, and on the streets aint one of them.

that depends on also how many tickets you have gotten. some people here have many tickets and cant afford to race on the street anymore.
i for one havent gotten a ticket for the past 4 years, but before that i have gotten excessive speed over 100 and reckless driving and aiding and abeiting in a speed contest and also was busted at that big bust in Fremont back in 1995 at the Tec building where that NSX kid was killed.

I agree with all of you, I myself love any sports cars and am not a street racer myself. I just wanted to know how other people felt on the road. How do you feel about other sports cars? I've read a few threads where people have put down other fine sports cars like the Boxster S. I believe that every sports car should have the respect that it deserves.

If I see another fine sports car pull up next to me, I do not automatically think that I can take this guy, I admire it whether it is worth more or less.

If the other car is revving at me, then I do agree what the guy in the Porsche said: " The only one who cares is the guy trying to start the shit!"

to answer your first question, i dont think the porsche driver would race if the integra was replaced by a s2k. for a snobbish guy, a honda is still a honda even if you pack 240 horses in there. besides, why would he race with a slower car? and if he should be stupid enough to race and lost, how would he feel? i dont think there is much incentive for him to race.

question 2. i never race on street because street racing has little to do with skill or how fast your car can run. its mostly involves how reckless you want to be and how little you car about your life/car and other people's.
