I just got my S2k, but I had a yellow Type R, which I had tinted all around (except front) with the minimum level of darkness (sorry, don't remember %) and I loved it.

I'm going to hold off for a while and see what I think with this car though, because as people mentioned, the top's down a lot anyway, but more notably, it's pretty dark inside with the top up. More so than I would have guessed. My wife and I both noticed it, and this was on a pretty sunny day.

A couple of things for CA owners to consider.

1) Tinting the front windshield in CA is absolutely against the law and a sure and easy way to get pulled over.
2) Tinting the front side windows in CA is also illegal. However, as long as you keep the tint light, your chances of getting pulled over aren't all that high. However, for my peace of mind (since I already am breaking the law by refusing to install a front license plate), I'm gonna play it cool in my S and not tint the windows. Besides, the top is almost always down.

I just couldn't live w/o window tint here in the Sunshine state.
Sometimes I just need to lay low and hide the Pimp Daddy Red interior!

Here's my 14%. I'm going to have the full windshield done for $80 ASAP.

For 50-state + Canada regs on tinting, go to: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=State...G=Google+Search

They are SSR GT3 255 R and 225 F . They don't weigh much more than stock, but the extra traction is nice= go.

2 layers of static one on the inside and one on the outside. The window is protected from scratches
