you guys with vinyl rear windows running top down in weather below 50 F run the high risk of the vinyl cracking. Just so you know.

I just go my S last week and live in Minnesota. I don't think we'll see much weather over 40F for quite some time now. So I wanted to see what other's think the cut off is to keep going with the top down.

And if you do roll with the top down in the cold do you add hats, gloves or just crank the heat?
I use to ride a motorcycle to work year round, but it rarely gets below 20-degrees f, here in Georgia. Still, there is no point at which I can't dress for the weather and stay warm, even on a bike, so there is no point at which I will leave the top up just because it's cold.

On the other hand, earlier this year I got caught in gridlock in Atlanta when the temperature was over 100-degrees f, and I put the top up to block the sun and keep me and my passenger a little cooler.

Common problem over here in the UK.

I ALWAYS warmed up mine in the 00 before I dropped it in the cold. The roof down whilst moving mod helps

30 F, is about as low as I go..with jacket, gloves, hat, and heater blasting. Winter nights with the top down is when prepared.

Voted for below 30.
Once, parked at work with the plastic window in the winter sun, I dropped the top and drove home like that.
During that drive I noticed a couple of people turning their heads.

If the temps get low I'm afraid to open the top.
The plastic window lasted this long.. I don't want to crack it.

My roomate and I went top-down on Saturday night driving around the island. It was about 75 degrees, but with wind-chill factors, it felt like below 70 degrees! We were freezing and was forced to turn on the heater, something that I never do.

I just got back from a drive with the top down, and it is 40 here. In my opinion, this is a bit too cold to have the top down. I voted 50+, but I'd say my personal threshold is at 45 degrees.

I just raised and lowered my vinyl top too, when it was 40...hope it didn't crack. On the other hand it would be a great excuse to buy that hardtop I've been wanting.
