How to check the oil?
I've checked the oil after 375 miles. Still breaking it in. I'm familiar with this car burning oil. It's still on it's second tank of gas, so I've only checked it one other time when I filled it up.
Before I drove home from work, the oil came to the "L" level on the stick. Looked low to me. When I got home, gave the engine a couple of seconds to settle, and it was just below the "H". Should I add some oil? 10W 30, brand name oil correct? How much oil?
Thanks.

"Should I check my oil cold or hot? Honda recommends that you check the oil when the car is "warm", and has been sitting for several minutes to get an accurate reading."
Check when it's warm. So the level is not bad. I'll check it again next gas fill up. If low maybe add a quart.

Check the oil at the gas station right after you fill up with gas. This is the BEST time to check as most of th eoil has drained back down into the oil pan.
when you checked the second time and the level was at "H", that reading was correct. You dont need to add.
u can use any name brand 10W30 oil to top up. Make sure you use 10W30 and nothing else. When my car was in Break in, I topped with Valvoline 10W30.
Good Luck!
