Thumbs up How can you tell if it's replica or OEM?

I just bought a used already painted AP1 rear spoiler. My question is: How can you tell if it is real or not? The place selling it said they didn't know. I told them it was fake and they brought the price down to $100 shipped for it in silverstone.
Here is the item I am talking about. Is there usually a marking or anything on the spoiler to tell?

I'm sorry but there are too many people on here that call others names when they go with a replica. And you might not have, but there's honestly nothing wrong with it. I know so many members who have replica kits, spoilers and lips and no one can tell. It looks real, so it will get the job done

...just be careful when drilling holes into your trunk

Yeah I know it doesn't matter really at all and I have no problem with replica parts, was just wondering how good of a deal I got really. Either way I think it is a great deal since it is already painted and all.

Looks like a good deal if the chunk is completely covered by the third brake light.
Search around the site for the instructions for drilling templates. I think there are just a couple of indents on the outside near the outside trunk edges, and two holes you drill in the "field". Looks like someone was prying there to remove yours before taking out those inner bolts.

You wont need the heavier springs.

Ok thanks. I'll take a look for that when it arrives. As for the comment about the piece missing on the underside. That is how they all are correct? Always thought that was how they all came to go over the brake light.

You're kidding right? You don't see that?

Here, allow me to illustrate....
