I feel your pain... I bought my '02 with 39k miles in March, and last Saturday my uncle's new stepdaughter scraped the rear bumper on our way home from the wedding by swerving at me on purpose while I was turning! Stupid bitch.

What is it about banks and post offices? I stay away from both (at our local P.O., usually I have my wife go to a neighborhood park across the street and I play Frogger to cross the highway to mail or get stamps).

I guess people are in a hurry at such places. Still -- no excuse!

Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement and similar stories. I sat in her last night and then went out for my longest drive yet. About an hour and a half of PA back roads, weaving whipping and driving the pain out. Couldn't help looking at it again this morning. she will get fixed and look good as new.

TWO days after owning my S i notice a HUGE golfball sized ding right under my door handle...it still pisses me off everytime i see it, it seems like it came from some mf'er opening the door pretty damn hard. i say pretty hard cause although i'm sure the S2000 isn't a bmw, it couldn't have been just a touch that did that much damage.

i know your situation is worse though...good luck getting it fixed!
Yep. I quickly learned that our cars scratch/dent VERY EASILY! I've come to grips that as I drive my S almost every day there is no way in hell it's gonna stay in 'pristine' condition. Just do what you can: park away from others, wash/wax/polish when needed, but most of all HAVE FUN! If you fret over every little door ding/scratch you will be missing out on the most important part of your S2000 ownership (the joy of driving it!).

Hate to break this to you, but you won't get a new QP. It's part of the unibody. Hopefully the dings can be punched out and look like new.

My car was in pristine condition too and now i have a dent on my fender from someone opening their car door. It seems to happen to the best of us.
