Pardon my ignorance but isn't the MAF supposed to adjust for this?
Yes, I think but the MAF may be less effective at the extremes as are many sensors.
Could it be that the s2000 at high RPM needs to pump more air and is therefore more affected by lower air( oxygen)density?
My old Porsche feels as languid as I do on a hot, humid day. Not noticeable in my truck or Jetts TDI but maybe because I don't drive them hard at all.

Forgive me if I came off strong. It just seems on every thread like this on any car forum its as if people are first time drivers.
I have felt this on every car, boost 4, v6, 4 cycle and big v8. I notice it the least on the v6.
In the s is meant higher shift points, the turbo, more throttle and on the v8 no change required but it does almost feel like I'm dragging a brake.

I just pulled my snorkel and sold it after running it for a couple of years, as I wait for a Mugen intake to go into the engine bay. The car has been running like a dog lately running without the snorkel, it has been a huge difference as I now suck hot underhood air. It hasn't felt this bad in years since running the snorkel, hopefully it will run decently with the Mugen intake as soon as I can get it installed.
