Default hood latch won't close

So let the gf borrow the car and its wet outside, so up the curve she went. oem front lip is gone and so is one of the left fog light. I don't really care about that stuff as long as she's ok. I just need to figure out how to fix the latch. any ideas?

The hood latch has some adjust ability in it, I believe there are 2-3 bolts holding the hood latch in its place, you can loosen them and move the latch slightly around...you might want to give that a try. But it sounds like maybe something is slightly bent?

Is there any way you can get a picture of the current state of the latch?

Don't worry guys, I got it fixed.......here was the solution for some of you guys out there that might help. I guess when the car hit the curve the latch slid down a little bit.

ALL you have to do is loosen the 3 bolts and scoot the latch up and tighten. That should solve it.

The latch was sitting to low for it to lock. Hope this helps.

She must have felt terrible. I know my wife would, and if she didn't, I'd make her feel terrible...,
