lol, thats a negative...it replaces your factory intake manifold gasket, its alot thicker than the factory gasket, thus causing the air going into your motor to be much cooler

Yea however its apparently a PITA to install. however it seems to show some changes in temperature so I suppose it works if you want to take the time and install it. I haven't tried it myself so I really cant say, however I looked at the install instructions and it looked time consuming.

The gasket helps prevent heat soak by isolating the intake manifold from the head preventing heat entering through conduction. This makes the air sitting in the manifold when idling stay cool so your engine doesn't bog when you start from a red light on a hot day.

i agree it is a worthwhile mod. it took forever and a couple of scraped knuckles to do it but its good. here's a tip: take off the alternator in order to make accessing the bottom bolts of the manifold easier to get to

I love this mod, had my little brother install it for me ....little as in 18 , he had installed his on his K motor and I asked him if he could do mine, I showed him the how to and he pulled it off. It looked like a pain in the arse, I had to help him here and there but it was worth it.
