Honda Service Lingo
So I get my car back from the Honda dealer and the service advisor tells me that my differential is a bit noisy. He then insists that I pay $250 for a "differential tune-up"? I said, $250.00 for an oil change?! yikes, I'll change my own diff fluid.
This was a little while ago, but ever since then I'm hearing that the differential is kinda noisy. I think I'm just listening more for differential noise than I normally would. But, my question is, was I wrong? Is there something actually to "tune up" on the diff or would they simply be changing the fluid?

I've never heard of a differential tune-up. I've rebuilt a few diff's, and I have to adjust backlash when i assemble them, but thats about the only adjustable thing on the type i rebuild.
