Default Honda service curbed my rim!

Yet another wonderful Honda service story. I had my car in to fix a short with the rear blinkers. I got the car back and home and put it in the garage. Today i wash it and when i clean the rims i notice the passanger side front rim has been curbed or it hit the rack when being pulled onto the lift. There is a little chunk taken out of the rim along with a 4" scrape along the rim. My car is 2 months old and I sure as hell didn't hit this curb. I called and the Advisors were all gone for the weekend. Anyone have any advice on how to go about getting the rim fixed or even replaced? I know it is their word against mine, so what can i do to help my situation? An upset Jeff

Just tell them how meticulous you are about the car and that you noticed the damage while washing it and distinctly remember all four wheels being fine before you brought it in for service. Also, tell them you went straight home after you picked it up so they don't think you were out joy riding and may have done the damage yourself.

I got a door ding while my car was in for service at my local Honda dealer. When I called them to tell them about it, they promptly told me where I could take my car... back to them, they're going to fix it. Not all dealers are bad. Just be professional and courteous and you'll be amazed at the level of service it's *possible* to get.

If you run into an issue with the service dept, go see your sales-puke. Get him and the general sales manager involved. They have no direct hold over the service dept, but the sales guys tend to HATE a P.O.'ed customer more than a service dept does.

The last time I took my car in for service, I left not noticing a ding in my passenger door. I noticed it when I got home and I called the service dept. and they immediateley set an appointment up for me and fixed it no questions asked. Lodi, CA great service!

As soon as i picked the car up, i took a walk around it and was checking the body for scratches or dings, but didn't check the rims I just pray they do not deny it and give me a hard time. The advisor who helped me is on vacation for a week. I hope I do not hear, the old, wait till he gets back song and dance. Thanks for the advice and I'll update you guys on monday after I speak with another service advisor.
