Honda S2000 VS Nissan 350z

maybe I'm just retarded, but does not the simple fact that the S2000, a 2.0L 4-cylinder, is constantly compared to larger engines mean something? I mean if someone said, man the stang or the 350 is faster than the s2000. First, i would either say BS if it's not true, OR, say HELLO...s2000 4 cylinders and can still compete. it's like lookin a big dude liftin say...two-fiddy lbs, and then a smaller guy lifting 225. What impresses you more? probably a bad analogy, but I tried.

There are plenty of cars faster to 60 than the S2000. The strength of the S2000 is not brute force, but it's handling and the way it feels going about it's business, it is a sports car, not a drag racer. Having said that, IF one decides to drag race a Mustang or Camaro or Z or any other car and gets beat, then one should not fall back and say that OH, that only because I've got a smaller engine! So what if you have a smaller engine, you raced someone and he showed you his tail end and no one is measuring cu inches or displacement at that point, one got beat and the other didn't. Either don't race a more powerful car and if you do don't make excuses for losing face. The S2000 is, once again, not a drag racer. It is a sports car with balance, poise and a lovely high revving engine that puts a smile on your face when you hear the engine scream like a banshee as it spins to over 8000rpms, that gentlemen is what differentiates this jewel from some of the other cars.
Happy driving.

Well, it looks as if the S2000 and 350z are about identical 0-60 and 1/4. Maybe the S2000 even being a little quicker
That's pretty impressive since the 350Z has:
1.5 liter larger engine
2 more cylinders
47 more horsepower
121 more torque (ft lb)
Damn!

What an old thread. Sheesh.
My $0.81.
We had a 350Z Track as a loaner car for about a week. Extensive testing side-by-side with my S2000.
Simply put, it's 100% driver's race anywhere below 100mph. After my 4th gear (120mph+), the Twee Fitty will pull ever so slightly. I'd say the 350Z pull 1 car length by ~145mph.
