I love the fact that the S2000 is a hand assembled low production machine that THE TOP GOES DOWN ON!!! Z doesn't even have a sunroof. I also think in not so very long you will be able to get a Z at Hertz! However, I think the Z is a great car for an everyday driver, as I am afraid to leave my S2000 in a parking lot, etc. for 5 minutes! I guess it would depend on how you intend to use it. I like the G35 Coupe much better than the Z, and would be my personal choice 2nd after the S2000. At least it has a sunroof and the best warranty in the business.

A 350Z owner tried desperately to show me how much quicker his Nissan was today at a stoplight. He took off, full throttle, jumped a car length ahead. I wasn't planning on it, so I had a normal takeoff, but...
Silly Z owner, don't you know what that whistling noise means?

It means that he's been cursed - he'll spend endless nights thinking "but the magazine said I was faster than an S2000" and cry to his Nissan dealer "but you said that Hondas were no match" ...
Before the light, the guy was doing about 15-20 mph over the limit; after I forced him to bow down before the Comptech altar, he stayed 300 feet back, regardless off how slow I went.
